The Jeep Wrangler Unlimited 4-door jeep is a unique beast. It's the first jeep to come standard with a three peice top. This presented a challenge for the conventional lifting mechanism made by Lange Originals. They came up with an elegant solution that stores the extra roof panels on top of cushions firmly held in place by custom elastic cords.
The lift mechanism is the same as it has always been for 20 years of manufacturing Hoist A-Tops. The power version mounts on a wall or directly above the lifting point with a pulley system. The manual mounts to the wall and ceiling with high rated eye lag screws. Included in the kit is hardware to mount it custom to your garage setting and unique needs.
In my garage I have a paticularly high ceiling, the Lange Originals Power Hoist a Top winch unit came with 40' of steel cable enough for my 12 foot ceilings. The manual does not however. I wanted to do a wall mount so that I could reach the cord that controlled the winch on the Power Hoist A Top.
